like many of you, i started out as a maker of a different sort and began designing jewelry with beautiful components made by others on etsy.
but i found that the only way for me to speak most honestly, the only way for me to navigate through my own life and connect with others deeply, was to get down to doing it myself from beginning to end.
i love working from raw materials - tools at the ready. i am able to direct the work from beginning to end, finding myself in a beautiful flow where it all comes together. let's not be naive though, there is much in the way of agonizing cognitive participation in the process.
we have lived, yes? and this wear and tear on our hearts and bodies have made us more. just as we develop a personal patina, the metal i work with is treated to different means in order to reflect and honor this process.
this work i do is intentional -
in our present world, feelings of vulnerability are common. i hope that these pieces will make you feel more empowered, will help you move through the trials and discover the joy and love that are ever-present in life if you live with the very rewarding (and terrifying) open heart.
